Wilton Kiwanis Donates $40,000 to Support Wilton Family YMCA Flood Recovery
On behalf of the Wilton Kiwanis Contributions Committee, Board, and membership, Chair Mary Anne Franco proudly presented a $40,000 donation to Christene Freedman, CEO of the Wilton Family YMCA.
The August 18, 2024 flood devastated Wilton, causing significant damage, but the Wilton Family YMCA was hit especially hard. Floodwaters surged 3.5 feet high, damaging the entrance bridge, shifting the Kiwanis Pavilion, destroying the archery range, eroding fields, and closing the 50M Pool for an extended period.
In response, the YMCA launched a Flood Relief Campaign to help Restore, Rebuild, and Recover. Wilton Kiwanis is honored to contribute, with this donation including all net proceeds from our October 2024 Pumpkin Sale.
Together, we’re helping to rebuild this community treasure! 💙 #WiltonKiwanis #WiltonYMCA #CommunityStrong #RestoreRebuildRecover
