Kiwanis Guest Speaker Tom Shimko
Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, as we welcome Tom Shimko for his presentation, “Strengthening Wilton’s Roots: A SCORE & The Wilton Economic Development Commission Overview.” Tom is a senior marketing executive whose career spans Fortune 50 companies including AIG, GE Capital, Prudential, and Pitney Bowes, as well as venture-backed startups. He currently leads his own consultancy, Shimko1to1, helping organizations turn customer data into measurable revenue growth.
Beyond his corporate leadership, Tom is deeply engaged in our local business community. He is the former Co-Chair of SCORE Fairfield County, now serving on the leadership team of the newly formed SCORE Western Connecticut chapter, and he is the Vice Chairman of the Wilton Economic Development Commission.
Tom will share how SCORE mentors small businesses and entrepreneurs, and how the Wilton Economic Development Commission works to strengthen and sustain our local economy. This promises to be an informative and impactful discussion about supporting business growth right here in Wilton.

About Tom Shimko
Tom Shimko is a Senior Marketing Executive with a unique career spanning both Fortune 50
enterprises and venture-backed startups.
Tom has held senior leadership roles at AIG, GE Capital, Prudential, and Pitney Bowes, and also
served as Chief Marketing Officer for Danbury Hospital. In addition, he founded the consulting
division for Peppers & Rogers Group, a global leader in 1to1 marketing strategy.
Today, he runs his own growth marketing consultancy, Shimko1to1, where he helps businesses
turn customer data into real revenue.
But you may know him as a local leader. Tom is the former Co-Chair of SCORE Fairfield
County where he remains on the Leadership team for the newly formed SCORE Western
Connecticut chapter, and is currently the Vice Chairman of the Wilton Economic Development
Commission.
When he isn’t helping local businesses scale, he’s usually busy cheering for the UConn Huskies.
