Please join us on Wednesday, April 22nd as the Wilton Kiwanis Club presents the inaugural 2026 Judith B. Zucker Community Engagement Award at our luncheon.
We are proud to honor this year’s recipient, Virginia “Gini” Benin of Wilton.
Created in partnership with the family of Judy Zucker, this $5,000 award recognizes individuals who reflect her legacy of service, leadership, and deep commitment to the Wilton community, guided by kindness, generosity, and grace.
Gini Benin has embodied those values for more than 50 years. A dedicated member of the Wilton League of Women Voters since 1976, she has helped lead community discussions, support voter engagement, and strengthen civic participation. Her service also includes leadership roles with the Wilton Parent Teacher Association, Board of Education, Board of Finance, Council on Ethics, Wilton Library, Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County, and the Wilton Historical Society.
Her impact can be felt across generations, from helping advance later high school start times to preserving important historic sites like the Spruce Bank African American cemetery.
As one nominator shared, “The answer was obvious: Gini.”
We look forward to celebrating her incredible contributions and honoring Judy Zucker’s legacy together.
