Julie Hughes is an archivist at the Wilton History Room and a board member of the Wilton Historical Society. She is an award-winning author whose work has been published in popular magazines and academic journals. She is writing a book on the lives of enslaved and free Black people in Wilton, Norwalk, and nearby towns. Her PhD in South Asian History is from the University of Texas at Austin.
