Kiwanis Club of Wilton Awards $3,000 Grant to the Hurlbutt Street School House
The Kiwanis Club of Wilton proudly presented a $3,000 grant to the Hurlbutt Street School House during this week’s luncheon at WEPCO. Presented by Contributions Committee Chair Mary Anne Franco to Anne McCann and Adrienne Calderone, the funding will support preservation efforts for the historic 1834 one-room schoolhouse, including window restoration, exterior painting, and repairs to help protect the building for future generations. As a living museum listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Hurlbutt Street School House continues to educate local students while preserving an important piece of Wilton’s history. The Kiwanis Club is proud to support organizations that strengthen and preserve our community.
