Topic: Caring for Our Canopy – How Healthy Trees Strengthen Our Community

The Kiwanis Club of Wilton is pleased to welcome Victoria McCarthy, Connecticut Licensed Arborist and Advanced Master Gardener with SavATree, for an engaging and informative presentation focused on tree health, environmental stewardship, and community resilience.

Victoria provides comprehensive tree, shrub, and lawn care services to homeowners throughout western Fairfield County. With extensive expertise in arboriculture and horticulture, she delivers tailored, science-based solutions that help property owners protect their landscapes, improve safety, and maintain long-term tree vitality.

During her presentation, Victoria will discuss the importance of proper tree care, hazard and risk assessment, wildlife-friendly landscaping, and sustainable practices that benefit both homeowners and the environment. She will also share how thoughtful land management strengthens neighborhoods, preserves natural beauty, and supports healthy ecosystems.

Victoria provides comprehensive tree, shrub, and lawn care services to homeowners like you throughout western Fairfield County. As a CT. Licensed Certified Arborist and Advanced Master Gardener, Victoria’s expertise in arboriculture allows her to provide tailored solutions that keep your trees healthy and your property looking its best. Outside of work, Victoria enjoys spending time with her husband of 40 years, beekeeping, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors.

Qualifications:

Victoria worked for UCONN Middlesex County Cooperative Extension as a Master Gardener Coordinator for Middlesex County and as an arborist for several years.

Education:

University of Connecticut Horticultural Professional and Advanced Master Gardener. She also attended Hofstra University.

Personal:

Victoria lives in Marion, CT with her husband of 40 years and their son. She is a beekeeper and garden designer she enjoys entertaining friends and family, skiing and golfing.
