Governor Kristin Holden’s journey in the Kiwanis Family started back at
Washington Middle School in Builders Club and continued on to Key Club
at Maloney High School, both clubs sponsored by the Meriden Kiwanis
Club. Kristin was a two time Robert F. Lucas Outstanding Lt. Governor
honoree during her time in Key Club.

Over the last 15 years as a Kiwanian Kristin has held the roles of Director,
Secretary, President and Lt. Governor. However her most rewarding
Kiwanis positions have been with the Service Leadership Programs
including chartering the Rippowam Builders Club and serving as the club’s
Kiwanis Advisor; Kiwanis Advisor to the Roger Sherman K-Kids; and
served as both the Financial Advisor and District Administrator for the New
England District of Circle K.

Kristin’s professional career has transitioned from film sets, to property
management, to keeping an entrepreneur and his multiple businesses
organized, to her current role as the Risk Manager for the City of
Middletown. This current role is probably her favorite because it gives her
the opportunity to help employees and retirees navigate the scary world of
medical insurance, workers compensation, mitigating the City’s liability
while also leading the City’s wellness program.

Kristin is married to fellow Kiwanian and Kiwanis Foundation of New
England’s President Chris. Their family is made complete with their
daughter Lindsey, who is a sophomore at Marist, as well as their two dogs
and three cats, who keep everyone on their toes.
