Kiwanis Club Check Presentation to Woodcock Nature Center
On November 13, 2024, the Wilton Kiwanis Club proudly presented a check for $9,500 to the Woodcock Nature Center! Woodcock Nature Center is the recipient of a Wilton Kiwanis Signature Community Building Project grant which is being applied to Woodcock’s Technology Infrastructure/Network Refresh Project. This project will provide for the modernization of Woodcock’s network infrastructure to allow for the use of technology during programs and other events, including access to scientific websites, data collection through “citizen science” projects, hosting of high level High School research projects and appropriate cybersecurity. This generous contribution, accepted by Executive Director Lenore Herbst, will play a vital role in supporting the center’s programs and expanding their educational outreach.
Lenore shared her gratitude, saying, “This donation helps us continue our mission of connecting people to the natural world, fostering environmental stewardship, and providing impactful nature-based programs for all ages.”
Thank you, Wilton Kiwanis, for your support in helping preserve the beauty of our nature center for the entire Wilton community!
