Jeff Jones aka “The Jedi Master” is a Grammy Winning Record Producer, Engineer and Director whose prolific career has spanned decades. Fascinated with cameras and recording machines as a kid, Jeff experimented endlessly with, stop action animation, sound recording and tape manipulation. He even disassembled his parent’s stereo system converting it into a mixing board. Jeff is best known for his innovative and unconventional techniques and bringing analog sound into the digital domain.
Jeff lives and works out of his Manhattan townhouse through his production company World Alert Music. Jeff is a professor at Berklee College of Music in the Music Production and Engineering Department. Jeff also serves on the Board of Directors of The Jazz Power Initiative “a non prophet dedicated to transforming lives through Jazz arts education. He is an active Voting Member of NARAS, The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences where he currently serves as both a Mentor for The Grammy U program, and he’s a Grammy Awards Committee Screening Member for the Jazz Category.
As a member of the Board of Education since 2019 and current chair, Ruth is proud to be a part of the Wilton school system’s rich legacy of excellence. She is committed to keeping Wilton’s schools among the strongest in our area and state. For her, there is no greater work than enabling every child to pursue their passions and dreams. Ruth believes in collaboration, cooperation, and communication. She has a masters in philosophy and social policy from George Washington University and a JD from Brooklyn Law School. She has helped biotech companies and individuals navigate the regulatory and healthcare system.
Wilton residents since 2016, Ruth and her husband are proud products of public schools and have three children, all in the Wilton Public Schools.
Ed Hynes, CFA was born and raised in Wilton, CT. He attended Wilton High School where he played both football and lacrosse. In 1977 Ed graduated from The George Washington University in Washington D.C. with a B.A. in Political Science. He subsequently spent most of his career in financial services. As an equity analyst, institutional salesperson and trader he worked with some of the premier investment banking firms in many of the world’s leading financial centers including New York, Tokyo, London, Chicago and San Francisco. In 2001 Ed became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and is currently a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Westport, CT.
Ed first became interested in the Revolutionary War as a child when he learned his neighbor’s house was partially burned by the British during the Danbury Raid in 1777. He and his wife are fascinated by history and have visited many important battlefields both here and abroad. Ed currently lives in Norwalk.
Saul W. Goldberg is a licensed real estate salesperson with eXp Realty in NY & CT. Given his 10 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the real estate market, Saul understands and knows what must be done to complete transactions and eliminates the stress that often develops during the process of selling or buying a home. Matt Raimondi is the current Chair of the Board of Finance (“BOF”). He was elected to the BOF in 2021 and was unanimously selected as Chair in 2023. A native Wiltonian and graduate of Wilton’s public schools, Matt moved back to Wilton with his wife to start and raise a family. Matt has been active in Wilton since returning to his hometown. In addition to his service on the BOF, Matt also served on Wilton’s Economic Development Commission as well where he supported local businesses. Professionally, Matt is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Silvermine Growth Partners, a lower middle market investment firm specializing in healthcare and business services.
Managing Principal, Myriad Development Group Michael has spent his entire career in the field of individual, team, and organizational development, and has been certified as a Master Corporate Executive Coach, a Master Professional Facilitator, and a Master Trainer.
Over the course of his career, he has been an individual contributor, supervisor, manager and leader; a coach, advisor, counselor and consultant; and an entrepreneur and an intrapreneur.
He has earned degrees in psychology, human resources management, and organizational development, a diploma from Stanford University’s Advanced Management College and
advanced certifications in organizational change and development from Harvard and Columbia Universities.
He has coached more than 350 individuals, four of whom were named to FORTUNE Magazine’s Top 50 Women in Business List, and fourteen of whom have gone on to become CEOs.
He has facilitated a variety of sessions where his expertise helped to produce strategic plans, conflict resolution, new organizational structures, and increased teamwork.
He has designed more than twenty-five educational programs that have been delivered to outstanding reviews by thousands of individuals in twenty different industries. And, he has been certified to administer a dozen different assessment tools, is an active member of a number of professional organizations and has received the Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award.
Michael has authored three books, been an adjunct faculty member at two graduate schools, donates his time, energy, and skill to The Honor Foundation and WeSpeak, and yet still finds ample time to enjoy his extracurricular activities – conducting wine tastings,
training in the martial arts, traveling – and his family.
Magdalen Livesey was a 44-year resident of Wilton before decamping to Old Greenwich in 2022. She became involved in Candlelight Concerts through her friendship with founder Margaret Gregory. She and her husband owned Cortina Learning International and Famous Schools, which published distance learning courses in foreign languages, English as a second language, art, writing, and photography. She continues to be active as a freelance editor.
The Kiwanis Club of Wilton CT is horned to present the Wilton Art Council with a check for $600 for the up and coming Focus 2024.
The Wilton Kiwanis Foundation is subsidizing the entry fee for the High School and Youth Divisions of FOCUS ’24. The first photo submission by each High School and Youth Division participant is free of charge, courtesy of the Wilton Kiwanis Foundation. Participants may enter a second photo; the fee for which is $10 for high school students and $5 for youths.
Gerald Berrafati, Trout Unlimited staff and coordinator for the local Mianus Chapter, will present on several major projects designed to restore historic fish passage and improve habitat on the Norwalk River in Wilton.
Over the last few years, the Norwalk River has undergone a dramatic transformation starting with the removal of the Flock Processing Dam in South Norwalk, the Dana Dam in Wilton this past fall, and over two miles of completed major habitat restoration work. Rare species of several concern like Alewife, Blueback Herring, and native Sea Lamprey are returning to the Norwalk River for the first time in over 120 years as a direct result of the incredible work done by various groups in Wilton’s conservation community. However, there is still more work to be done. Find out what’s next in store for the Norwalk River!
A life-long Wilton resident, Gerald first got involved with the Mianus Chapter as an intern at 15 and became the organization’s first full time staff person shortly after graduating from College of the Holy Cross in 2020. The Mianus Chapter of Trout Unlimited is a non-profit organization of over 5,000 members and supporters dedicated to preserving, protecting and restoring our local rivers and streams in lower Fairfield County.
